Looks can be deceiving! At first glance, this locket looks like something completely new, when in fact, it has upcycled vintage fabric! First, I cross stitched a miniature mandala in fall colors to go in a double-sided locket. Then, I snipped a piece from a vintage hankie and sewed it to the reverse side of the mandala. I chose one of the hankies from my last post. Finally, I inserted the fabric inside the locket and slipped it on a 14K plated chain. It’s all set to wear!

Looks like a quick and easy project. Great conversation starter about recycling and style.

Thank you! It was pretty quick. It took me about 5 hours total and it gave me some jewelry with colors I want to wear this time of the year!
