Exfoliate, hydrate, and nourish your skin in just one step with sugar cubes loaded up with your favorite essential oils. When I noticed products like this for sale, I set out on a mission to find out how to DIY for less. Here's my recipe:
You'll need: - A box of sugar cubes - Lavender essential oil - Bergamot essential oil - Jojoba oil - Purple dye (optional) Set some sugar cubes on a tray. Add 5 drops of lavender essential oil, 5 drops of bergamot essential oil, and 2 drops of jojoba oil to each sugar cube. If you would like, add 2 drops of purple dye to each cube for a lovely ombré effect. Let the cubes dry for 8 hours. Then, store them in a glass jar so the essential oils don't diffuse into your home. Use a sugar cube on damp skin to exfoliate.

I’m designing a little picture featuring my favorite spring blooms made with a variety of embroidery stitches.
I weeded out some old denim when I was doing my spring cleaning. It makes the perfect indigo backdrop for my growing garden. I’m slowly making progress. I sew in fits and starts. I rip out stitches that I’ve made, only to resew them. I halt. I hesitate. I go beyond the confines of lines I’ve already delineated. Somehow, little by little, this project is moving ahead just like spring is. |
