Warm up on even the coldest winter day with this retro cookie recipe.  Golden ginger drops pack a punch with sugar, spice, and everything nice!
To make this recipe, you’ll need:
- ¼ cup butter
- ¼ cup sugar
- ½ cup molasses
- One egg
- 1 teaspoon baking soda dissolved in ½ cup boiling water
- 1 ½ cups flour
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon cinnamon
- ¼ teaspoon cloves
- 1 tablespoon ginger

  1. Preheat the oven to 400 °F and grease a cookie sheet with butter.
  2. Melt the butter and mix it with the rest of the liquid ingredients.
  3.  Add the salt and spices.
  4. Mix in the dry ingredients.
  5. Drop dough by rounded spoonful about 2 inches apart onto the cookie sheet.  Bake the cookies for 8 to 10 minutes.  The cookies are ready when no indentation remains whey they’re touched.
  6. Immediately remove the golden ginger drops from the cookie sheet and cool them.

It’s cookie time!
